At last here comes badminton super grandprix !!!!

3rd INDIAN OPEN GRAND PRIX GOLD TORNAMENT.
A $120,000 event!!!
i was fortunate to watch some of matches( on t.v ;-) ),
the matches were not quite exciting with likes of peter gade, lin dan & many more missing the tournament.


but it is a feast to indian badminton fans with chetan anand and saina nehwal being the front-runners for the men's and women's title.
both are the top seeds in their respective wings.


The only competiton for saina is expected from Chew Wong Mew of Malaysia who is way down in rankings!!!
other wise we can see saina lifting the title this time!!!!


p.c.thulasi of india took the lights of day with her stunning win over 4th seed maja Tvrdy (SLO) 17-21, 21-9, 21-10,
jus 18 years she promises a bright future, following the legacy of saina nehwal.


In the doubles event there are majorly indian players having slight chances with top seeds from malaysia dominating the event!!!


Mohd Hafiz Hashim from malaysia, seeded 2nd in the men's singles is expected to threaten chetan anand for the title, but in impeccous form in the recent times, chetan has an edge over hashim!!!
